Dua Lipa's been a bookworm in Jamaica, Kendall Jenner's cavorted on a superyacht in Cannes, Sofia's honeymooned in the Maldives and…Zendaya's done her grocery shop in a South-West London Waitrose. Summer is well and truly coming and our favourite A-listers are out and about all over the globe, tanning and trolley-dashing in accessories which are ready to influence our own summer wardrobes.
From the jewellery belt to the satirical slogan tee, the sculptural wedge to the claw clip, here we round up the alluring accoutrements that should be sliding into your carry-on suitcase.
Dua Lipa opted for strings of Chanel jewellery – including a typographic waist belt – for her Met Gala 2023 after-party look in May.
Léna Mahfouf touches down at Nice airport before the Cannes Film Festival wearing a CC-logo Chanel belt and low-key denim.
This micro trend first began reverberating at the Met Gala 2023 when A-listers from Dua Lipa to Rita Ora accessorised their after-party outfits with charm-jangling vintage Chanel jewellery belts in honour of its Karl Lagerfeld theme. Emily Ratajkowski and Léna Mahfouf are also fans of the accessory, which evokes sun-drenched Côte d’Azur style, with the latter appropriately wearing a golden chain belt with chunky CC logos arriving at the airport in Cannes before taking to The Croisette. Style with everything from a jersey LBD to a daring bikini.
Elle Fanning showing her affection for Succession in her Waystar Royco baseball cap.
Sick of the stealth-wealth trend? Enter Hailey Bieber in her Porsche logo cap.
How to send a symbolic message while staying low-key? Enter the comically-inclined cap. A-listers have lusted after the concealing power of the baseball cap for decades, but this summer they’re also on point with their messaging. Cue Elle Fanning mourning the finale of Succession with her Waystar Royco cap and Hailey Bieber subverting the stealth-wealth trend with her Porsche-branded headgear.
Dua Lipa's barrette? A supersize claw clip for securing salty looks in Jamaica.
Camille Charrière's crystal claw clip comes courtesy of cult London label Katya.
Because the barrette and the Y2K trend go hand in hand, the chunky claw clip continues to prove that there's no simpler way for securing salty sandy locks. Look to the dressing codes of Dua Lipa at Golden Eye hotel in Jamaica and Camille Charrière in Tokyo and up the Noughties nostalgia with rose-and-crystal embellished details.
When holidaying in France, Hailey Bieber wore the cheeky cover up of the season.
A pregnant Rihanna nails the ironic T-shirt brief with her "Use a Condom" slogan.
A step up from the comical cap, we bring you the tongue-in-cheek slogan tee. Already the cheeky cover-up of the season, this style is best worn at the beach with a bikini. Cue Hailey Bieber sporting a saucy "Got Milk" tee on holiday in France (remember January's "Nepo Baby" take?), Rihanna's ironic "Use a Condom" maternity wear, and Kim Kardashian's "I Love Nerds" T-shirt.

Sofia Richie matching her crystal-clear backdrop in the Maldives with ice-blue shades.
Kylie Jenner championing all-white opticals for summer.
Sofia Richie's honeymoon wardrobe in the Maldives served It-girl oomph – Magda Butrym corsage detail party tops, Christoper Esber crochet-nipple detail tees and Prada's ever-popular woven tote. Richie's opticals of choice? Rectangular ocean-blue sunglasses or Loewe's cult flower-shape frames in cream. To keep things completely ice-cool this summer? We’re also taking cues from Kylie Jenner's rave-ready all-white take.
British Vogue fashion director Julia Sarr-Jamois soaking up the sun at Palm Heights Grand Cayman in Chanel thong flip flops.
Kendall Jenner in her favourite simple rubber sandals by The Row.
Fashion loves nothing more than to fluctuate between a summer sandal style, be it a sizeable slider or a minimalist thong slip-on. The latter proved a firm favourite at Cannes – see an off-duty Elle Fanning and Romee Strijd in all-white iterations. Whether out and about in New York or cavorting on the coastline around Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, in tailored separates or a transparent Ami Paris sheath, Zoë Kravitz and Kendall Jenner prefer all-black iterations. The Row of course offers the most luxurious take on this style, the brand's chunkier Ginza style being usurped by its latest iteration – the barely-there rubber thong.
